The Cleveland Browns are done selling

Back in the early weeks of the 2007 NFL season, teams like the Detroit Lions, Oakland Raiders and Cleveland Browns were the surprise feel-good stories of the early season.  Well Oakland still plays a pretty good defense and has found a spark in Justin Fargas, but they were the first to fall off.  Detroit was 6-2 half way through the season and Jon Kitna looked like a genius after predicting the blue and silver would win 10 games this season.  11 interceptions and 6 straight loses later leaves Kitna and the lions out of the playoffs.  Then there is the Cleveland Browns who managed to shut out the Buffalo Bills this past weekend 8-0 in the snow covered gridiron.  There is no more selling.  There should be no more Braylon Edwards leaping catches, Jamal Lewis pounding runs or Derek Anderson to Kevin Winslow darts to convince us otherwise.  This team is for real.  But the Browns may not be ready to settle on just getting to the playoffs this year.  This team is ready to win the division.  That's right and yes I do know the Pittsburgh Steelers are in the same division.  Both teams are 9-5 and the Browns have a road game in Cincinati and a home game against San Francisco to close out the season.  Pittsburgh will travel to St. Louis this week (Thurs. night) and then head to Baltimore to finish their regular season.  Read it here, Cleveland is going to win their two games.  Pittsburgh on the other hand has no easy task.  The Rams are playing their best ball of their 07 season and have a healthy Marc Bulger, Isaac Bruce, Tory Holt and most importantly, Steven Jackson.  This game will probably be the Browns' best chance to have a better record then the steel crew - which is needed to win the division since the Steelers swept them in the regular season.  That being said because the Ravens are not good right now, and by not good - I mean they just lost to the Miami Dolphins for crying out loud.  However, if the Ravens perform anywhere near the way they played against the Patriots, then look out.  It's a colorful year for the Browns, start believing.
