Can the Browns win a championship this year? And if so, what do they have to do? |
Joey Wheeler Sep 15, 08 | Can they? Yes. Will they? Well, that's another question entirely. I've gone ahead and developed a formula for the Browns to win a super bowl soon. Here it is: First, Donte Stallworth needs to get healthy so Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow will stop getting consistently double teamed. Second, Braylon Edwards needs to work on catching the ball when it's in his hands. Third, the running game needs to be more of an emphasis. Stop trying to mess with unbalanced offensive lines and start working on blocking so Jamal won't get stuck in the backfield anymore. Fourth, and most important, the Defense needs to work together as a unit. They need to be able to establish some kind of pass rush against opponents so that the young under-achieving secondary can attempt to maintain coverage. With this being done, the running game will be much easier to snuff out. All-in-all, with a killer schedule and a still dominant Pittsburgh team, the Browns will not win a Super Bowl this year. Though, hopefully in the coming weeks, they will be much more entertaining to watch... |
