1. Brett Favre (NYJ)—First, it was the retirement/unretirement story. Then it was the big trade/ugly departure headline. Next, it was the Rodgers/Favre season comparison. Subsequently, it was the Romo/Favre injury conversation. Finally, it was the Millen/Favre controversy. Now, it’s the Favre turnover complaint. Is anyone else tired of this?

This isn't going to be an entry that gushes over Brett Favre and suggests that he never retire because he's "great for the game."  I don't deny that, Favre was an incredible quarterback--one could argue he is a top five quarterback of all time.

years as the Green Bay Packers quarterback, the legendary and future hall of famer 3 time MVP Brett Favre is set to retire.

"I know I can still play, but it's like I told my wife, I'm just tired mentally. I'm just tired," Favre, a three-time NFL MVP, told ESPN's Chris Mortensen in a voice mail message.

You’d think that the thought of Brett Favre faking the handoff to Adrian Peterson then tossing to Terrell Owens would be enough. Or maybe even people would tune in to see the dream combo of Tom Brady throwing deep downfield to Randy Moss. Oh wait, that’s the Patriots…dammit. But I can’t find one person who actually watches the game. And I know several NFL fans.
