Cleveland Browns: The horror, the horror

After the loss to the Titans, it's difficult to imagine that we could beat the Eagles next Monday night in Philly.

Yes, we have played well enough on Monday nights this season to win, but if you watched the Titans hammer the Browns on Sunday...you were left with little confidence, pride, and heart. The score: Titans 28, Browns 9. Make all of the excuses that you want, but we didn't look like a professional team out there.

QB Situation: I would like to see Cribbs get more reps at QB. He's a playmaker, and he can run away from blitzers. Furthermore, he can throw the ball. On Sunday, he made a nice 50-yard throw to Edwards, but the official said that Edwards did not get two feet in. However, after the replay, it was clear that Edwards did get both feet in. If not, at least RC could have challenged the call but he didn't. I guess we were saving our time outs for the end of the game...when the game was totally out of reach. Anyway, Dorsey was on the run for most of the game, and he was abused. The Titan "D" looked great. Also, we didn't get to see Bruce Gradkowski, probably because he was only recently signed. According to RC last week, Gradkowski was in the Rams' training camp this year before getting released. Apparently, the Rams' system, terminology, or both is similar to the Browns. Furthermore, Gradkowski has started games in the past, had some success, and won more games than Dorsey. He was also signed for two years, leading me to believe that one of the other three Cleveland QBs won't be back next year.

ESPN: On ESPN this morning, I read that RC will probably fired at the end of the year. The Browns are looking to bring back Marty Schottenheimer. But Marty is 65 now, and during the Raiders-Chargers' game last Thursday, Marty was interviewed and he said that he had no interest in coaching. So, where is ESPN getting their info? Are they creating something out of nothing? They have done it in the past. So Marty, what gives?
